Q:Can Beijing based international schools accept Chinese nationals?
A: No. Based on the policy of the Beijing Education Bureau, International school are not allowed to accept Chinese student. However, if one of the parents holds a foreign passport, then the school may get a special approval from the Education Bureau to accept the student.

Q: How easy is to get into international schools?
A: It various from school to school, some campuses or grades may be more difficult to get into than others. As a result, international schools may put your children into another campus first. It is recommended that you should start the school application as early as possible. Some schools require a deposit to secure a spot.

Q: If my child doesn't pass the international school's interview and written test, do I still need to pay the application fee, or can I get refund?
A: The application fee should be settled before the school arranges the interview and written test, this is non-refundable.

Q: Is transportation provided to international schools? Do they have buses?
A: Most international schools provide transportation, typically, school buses will stop at popular housing compounds. School bus fares are charged separately from tuition fees.

Q: I am a foreign passport holder, can my child enroll into a local Chinese school?
Your child will not be eligible to enroll into a local pubic school, some private-owned schools may accept your applications.
