Moving to Qingdao - Schooling
Qingdao offers a high standard of education covering a variety of curricula, including IB, American diploma, and British National Curriculum. Class sizes typically do not exceed 20 students: a good teacher to student ratio.Schooling in Qingdao, international or otherwise, has admissions procedures that may include an interview, submission of previous academic records, an entrance exam, or an ESL (English as a Second Language) assessment. You usually need to pay a deposit as part of the application. Non-native English speakers may be enrolled in an ESL program. Application processes can be long and tricky, but don’t worry! At APA we can help with this and liaise with the school on a family’s behalf to monitor availability.
Some examples of international schools are:
Qingdao MTI International School (ISQ):The first international school established in Qingdao, ISQ offers K-12 College preparatory education geared toward admission to top US and Korean universities, with standardized testing and Advanced Placement (AP) classes.
