MOVING TO CHINA - PEOPLE
China recognises fifty-six different ethnic groups. Han Chinese is by far the largest ethnic group, compromising about ninety-two per cent of the population. The other fifty-five ethnic groups, mostly located on China’s frontiers, maintain their own rich traditions and customs and make up just 8% of the total population. Major ethnic groups in China are Zhuang, Uyghur, Hui, Yi, Tibetan, Miao, Manchu, Mongol, Kazakh, Buyi, and Korean.Return
