Moving to Shenyang

It is a good thing that you are moving to Shenyang now and not 10 years ago! As one of the industrial cities in Northeast China, Shenyang used to have a severe pollution problem and relatively undeveloped infrastructure. There have been improvements in the last few years but it is not an easy city to live in, but things are getting better as the city began to put a lot of efforts towards economic development.

Living in Shenyang may be a challenge as you may not have the access to the western luxuries you will have in Beijing and Shanghai, but you will be able to enjoy more of an “authentic” China experience. Since there are many Koreans living here, you will be able to enjoy tasty authentic Korean food.

In addition to experiencing “authentic China”, you can enjoy the Shenyang Imperial Palace which is often underrated. It has a similar structure to the Forbidden Palace in Beijing, though smaller and with different historical and cultural aspects, but with a lot less tourists! It is one of the few ancient palaces in China that actually symbolize an ethnic culture.
