Moving to Changchun - Medical Facilities

Changchun has a small range of treatment options. It’s important to know what your insurance covers while in China because hospital treatment and stays can be very expensive.

The First Hospital of Jilin University has good facilities and is probably the best hospital in Changchun. It has a VIP section for high-level civil servants and expatriate employees that is used by a number of multinational companies. There is also an international medical practice located at the South Lake complex which is staffed by two doctors (general practitioners) from Germany. Payment needs to be made up-front before receiving treatment from hospitals in Changchun.

Other options are:
- No. 2 Hospital of Jilin University
- No. 3 of Jilin University (China-Japan Friendship Hospital of Jilin University)
- Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Changchun City
